TALU - Special Edition 004 - June 8, 2007
I attended my first convention, ConCarolinas 2007 in Charlotte, North Carolina. I had the pleasure of serving time as a moderator for my first panel ever, this one on the TV show Heroes on NBC.
Then I had the honor of sitting on a panel with Stephen Euin Cobb, author of Bones Burnt Black among other titles, and host of The Future and You; Stuart Jaffe, host of The Eclectic Review; Nathan P. Butler, webmaster of www.starwarsfanworks.com, and creator of The Star Wars Timeline. This was moderated by Podcasting’s Rich Sigfrit.
My third panel was called “Star Wars: Is the Force Still With us After 30 Years?” Moderated by Nathan P. Butler, guests included myself, noted costumerCheralyn Lambeth, and Fan Film maker Drennon Laney
Recordings of all of these panels will be available on my podcast soon. As well as the story of how it took 15 hours to get from Louisville, KY to Charlotte, NC. I’ll be recording that tonight.
I managed to network a little bit with some very cool people, and lucked out on Saturday night, getting to play a Star Wars Role Play game run by Peter Schweighofer, who used to be an editor at West End Games, as well as write Star Wars modules.
I will be going back next year, and plan on bringing books to sell and/or give away.
