Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThis was a great episode. The essay especially, it reminds me of the story of my Great etc. Gransfather – He owned the tavern in Hartford CT that the CT Charter was hidden. CT was the only state to keep its charter…because it could not be found…
Thanks a lot, Jack! That is a really cool detail. So, did he pass down a good beer recipe?
Unfortunately no… I have to see if I can find that…
I had high hopes for “Indiana Jim” and his optimistic podcast.
I have to say that I am very disappointed.
I have only listened to this episode but I doubt that I will listen to others.
Listening to the interview with Greg Munck made me want to puke.
This country is great because of “God” and because we take it upon ourselves to ’save’ the rest of the world by shooting them? WTF?
I think this country is great too, but for very different reasons, and in my humble opinion, it would be much better without all of the idiots who are more than willing to commit murder in the name of some invisible ’sky-daddy’ and then call it patriotism.
Well thank you for leaving your honest opinion. Greg Munck’s opinion is that of one soldier, and this is but one episode. It is unfortunate that you find it necessary to pass judgment after a single listen.
As I said in the episode, it doesn’t matter where you believe human rights come from, but the fact is we should be defenders of those rights. Just because we get the details wrong once in a while, doesn’t mean the big picture is wrong.
